NAVY SHIP STOPS FOR REPAIRS
A Navy ship has made an unscheduled stop in Monterey, docking at Municipal Wharf No. 2. The USS Chief, a 224-foot vessel designed to sweep for mines, arrived about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, said Scott Pryor, the harbor’s marine operations supervisor.
